NAQWA SWR-SPRING units also protect the health of first responders in such emergencies.

green  product

All of the remarkable characteristics of NAQWA SWR (SPRING and SHUNGITE) water recoverers are achieved without using chemicals or any other additives which when applied very often result in substitution of one type of pollution for another. NAQWA SWR is truly a green product.

scope  of  application

Picture
NAQWA Spring Water Recovery filters, hereinafter referred to as NAQWA SWR, use advanced track membrane technology for recovery and treatment of water drawn from centralized water supply systems as well as from superficial and underground raw water resources.

Our NAQWA SWR drinking water recoverers are used in the home to upgrade tap and bottled water. Lightweight and compact, as a travel companion, our NAQWA SWR drinking water recoverers keep your drinking water safe wherever you go. Both are easy and convenient to use at home, and are indispensable for use while travelling, fishing, or enjoying the outdoors. NAQWA SWR filters are perfect for emergency situations. Note… When the power goes out, the water stops flowing.

NAQWA SWR drinking water recoverers reduce to zero [or to an acceptable rate of concentration] the following dangerous components: The most dangerous bacteria, radionuclides (radiation), heavy metals, pesticides, and other hazardous substances. It will upgrade standard water from tap, rivers, lakes and even swamps to safe drinking water levels free of bacteria, and to some extent, free of heavy metals, chlorine, arsenic and similar contaminants. At the same time, all of the important micro elements and trace minerals desired for human health remain preserved in the treated water.

a  solution  for  plastic  bottle  waste

Picture
Bottled water sends our already wasteful consumer culture into pollution overdrive. Although it can be easy and convenient to pick up bottled beverage products, the end cost to the environment is staggering. The NAQWA SWR can save up to 20,000 "one-liter" bottles of plastic waste per filter! The following is a list of plastic bottle facts that place the magnitude of today's plastic bottle pollution into perspective.
• Bottled water is the second most popular beverage in the United States
• The average American consumes 167 bottles of water a year
• Plastic bottles take 700 years to begin composting
• There is a plastic ocean of bottle waste the size of Texas floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean!
• 90% of the cost of bottled water is due to the bottle itself
• 80% of plastic bottles are not recycled
• 38 million plastic bottles go to the dump per year in America from bottled water alone (not including soda)
• 24 million gallons of oil are needed to produce a billion plastic bottles

naqwa swr — the  safest  portable  water  filter

Picture
In January 2016, NAQWA concluded laboratory tests related to the ability of bacteria to grow inside the most widely used types of personal (portable) water filters available on the world market. More than 90% of portable water filters currently available on the world market are of the closed-type. This means that the majority of portable filtration units have their filters sealed in “closed” plastic containers whereby the inside cartridge cannot be removed to dry after use—hence, the definition of a “closed” system. The problem is that bacteria continue their growth inside closed-type portable units, because dirty water remains in the filter after use, and bacteria grow only in wet media.

Laboratory tests carried out at the NAQWA laboratory in Obninsk, Russia evidenced a very high probability that bacteria continue their rapid growth inside closed-type personal water filters, especially once out of operation. This references the ultra-filtration, closed-type water filters which use hollow fiber membranes. Note: These closed-type filters should be backwashed after use. However, this action does not appear to solve the issue completely as some of the bacteria-polluted water remains inside the filter after backwashing.

To date, NAQWA SWR units offer the only open-type filter available on the market. It can easily be dried after use. NO BACTERIA GROWTH IS POSSIBLE INSIDE NAQWA SWR! This NAWA® patented technology positions NAQWA SWR as the safest portable water filter anywhere, especially with its patented anti-bacteria technology. But, one can never be certain with closed-type portable water filters.
